Devotionals for the Season

 

E ach week there is a devotional, whether in practice or at the competition.

 

T he devotional theme presented to the coaches features various Christian character traits that are necessary to achieve success - regardless of the pursuit.   Sports are a great medium to teach those qualities one needs to succeed in a competitive society and to do so in a manner that is ethical.   Hard work, discipline, devotion, dedication to a greater purpose, caring about others, being a contributor - not just a consumer, the desire to be the best you can be always, working with others, time management, among a thousand others are all part of this experience.   In one form or another the participants will be exposed to the full range of these ethics here at Mountainside Methodist.

The 8 devotionals presented are to be used during practice and repeated once the season is started.
